From Father’s Desk

Dear Parishioners:

As I make pilgrimage to Fatima, the site where our Blessed Mother appeared 100 years ago on July 13th, I encourage you to join me in daily prayer, so that together we offer this pilgrimage to honor the Blessed Virgin.

Our Lady asked particularly that we honor her Immaculate Heart, so I invite you to offer the following prayer daily. This prayer has numerous variations, but the main idea is to start your day giving to God everything you may encounter during the upcoming day.

O Jesus,
through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer You my prayers, works,
joys and sufferings of this day
for all the intentions
of Your Sacred Heart,
in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
throughout the world,
in reparation for my sins,
for the intentions of all my relatives and friends,
and in particular
for the intentions of the Holy Father. Amen.

Offer a daily rosary as well, or at least a decade and an Our Father and Glory be—or even just an Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory be. Please join with me spiritually in prayer, so that the Parish of St Gabriel may be blessed, and a source of blessing.

Love and Peace,
Fr. Liam Quinlan
