From Father’s Desk

Dear Parishioners:

The pilgrimage to Fatima, including a visit to Saint Anthony’s shrine was sublime. I brought all your intentions, and remembered them at mass and all the liturgies. It was an intense and moving experience. As soon as I get the chance I will send back some pictures to be posted on our parish website. This week I continue on to Ireland, and will pray at the shrine of Our Lady of Knock for all our intentions. Below is a prayer for you to join your intentions with mine. Please continue offering the rosary each day with me.

Love & Peace,
Fr. Liam Quinlan

Our Lady of Knock,
through your Immaculate Heart
I offer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
– my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day
in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world.
I offer them for all the intentions of the Sacred heart of Jesus
and Your Immaculate Heart;
for the salvation of souls, reparation for sin,
the reunion of all Christians.
I offer them for the intentions of our bishops
and of all the apostles of prayer,
and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month.
Our Lady of Knock, pray for us so as to be filled with the heavenly virtues
of chastity, temperance, charity, diligence, patience, kindness and humility.
O Seat of wisdom,
fill us with the grace of wisdom,
knowledge, and deep understanding,
to defeat the wisdom of this world.

With the Angels and Saints let us pray:

Give praise to the Father Almighty,
To His Son, Jesus Christ the Lord.
To the Spirit who lives in our hearts,
Both now and forever. Amen.

Have your say
