No evil shall befall you, nor shall affliction come near your tent, for to His Angels God has given command about you, that they guard you in all your ways. Upon their hands they will bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. ~ Psalm 91: 10-12
Each of us has a personal heavenly spirit assigned by God to watch over us–our Guardian Angel, a guide, and a protector from evil. Keeping our Guardian Angel in mind is one of the best ways we can gain graces and lead a life befitting a child of God. A good prayer to say each day is the following:
“O Dear Guardian Angel, remind me often this day to resist ever becoming discouraged, neither by the injustice of my critics or the suffering of my
friends, nor by my inadvertent venial sins or by those committed deliberately.
Even, God forbid, if I should commit a mortal sin out of malice, even then remind me, O Angel of God, sent to protect me, to never become discouraged, but to entrust myself instead to Christ’s All-Powerful protection and that of His Blessed Mother and to proceed then with great confidence.
Love and Peace,
